I was reminiscing last week by going through some of my picture albums and I absolutely forgot about the pictures from my trip to Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State.
My friend, Nwanneka, mentioned a Saturday road trip to Abeokuta’s Olumo Rock with her co-workers and I, of course, immediately jumped on board. We left Lagos around 8am, so the traffic to Abeokuta was not ridiculous. We got into town in less than 2 hours.
This was the first time I really got to take in the city. Prior to this trip, I went with my family for a burial ceremony a couple of months earlier for the first time and I was too distracted by my large family’s antics to take in the city properly.
This time around, with Nwanneka in charge of my camera, we were able to capture a small bit of Abeokuta in the local market.
Please enjoy 🙂Hello abeokuta, time to rock the rock. #dryjoke.
