A couple of months ago, I traveled with friends to Abia via Enugu from Lagos. The flight to Enugu was on Air Peace, but for heading back to Lagos, we flew with Aero.

So let’s get down to the meat of this post…

My Experience

On-Time Flight? –

Yes

Checking In –

It was a fully booked flight and they had no window seat left for me but my friend got one, so we did a seat swap. The airport was quite hot despite the working air conditioners, but overall, checking in was pretty uneventful.

Boarding Process –

I can only now assume that it is a norm for Nigerian airlines to have passengers pick out their luggage for confirmation before climbing into the plane. They had luggage lined out by the plane’s entrance for passengers to claim before boarding. We received the regular security physical check before boarding also. This time around, I made sure to take a quick picture of the plane before getting close to the plane…I’d rather not deal with the airline staff telling me they will ban me from flying just for taking plane pictures. (Click here to see when that happened)

In-Flight Experience –

Getting our proper seats was an interesting process. Luckily, our semi-large group got to sit together, but I noticed that many people sat in seats that did not correspond with the ones on their tickets. Some turned deaf when the seat owner showed up, and I was pretty impressed by how the flight attendants de-escalated the problems.

Bonus! We were served some in-flight snacks of doughy croissants, a biscuit, and juice box.

Snack time!

Check Out –

With our hand luggage as our only burden, checking out into the waiting Uber car was a swift process. There was no flight delay issue, so we got to Lagos right on schedule. This is definitely an airline that I will not mind flying with again.
