Nigerians Happy world tourism day!
I went on my first group tour with Nigerians and I came out alive! Hahaha! Seriously though, no offense to my fellow Nigerians but mehn the habit of not respecting time is on a serious level oh. Besides the bits of chaos, it was a nice change of pace from my usual way of travel. I got to meet other Nigerian travelers and had a great time exploring Marrakech with my people.

I realized years ago that I prefer smaller towns while traveling and Marrakech is definitely not a small town. I found the souk a bit too overwhelming and I really felt no desire to escape in the market space to find some treasures to take home as souvenirs. It may have also been a case of withdrawal from the beauty of Chefchaouen, I really wanted to stay for more than the 2 nights I spent there, but another time maybe? Instead, I went on the tour of the city provided by the tour company, Abaytour, hunted for some good food away from the noise, and took it really easy. And as soon as I could grab the opportunity, I got out of Marrakech to explore the Sahara of Morocco.

I will create a separate post on the foods I indulged throughout Morocco, so for now, make do with the pictures that highlights different flavors of tourism. Enjoy!
Quick thing to note, while Morocco is known for its food culture, but do not expect that every restaurant has a decent respect for food. Some restaurants that we visited created serious insults to good food. Really. Also, a lot of the people in Marrakesh were really good at scamming people, so if you do plan to visit, make sure to do heavy research on prices. With haggling, it is a science that not everyone is great at. Paying 200% over the normal price sucks even if you can afford the money.
