First stop on my Spain, Chile, and Costa Rica adventure is Malaga, Spain! Don’t laugh at me, but I missed my flight 🙁 so I did not get to start this trip on a good note (first time ever missing a flight from Lagos). Had to quickly pay Royal Air Maroc the difference for another ticket leaving the next day, but all the valuable time I planned for Malaga was gone.
The flight itself was pretty terrible. Outdated plane with little to no entertainment console, the food was nothing to write home about. I had to purchase my grub when I got to the airport to make up for the terrible fare. On the flip side, the one-way ticket cost $485, so you get right about what you pay for.
To make matters worse, the process of getting the rented car from Goldcar was ridiculously slow! I flew into Malaga at 12:45 pm, but left the rental place at almost 6pm!

Way too many things went wrong later on that evening, but the atmosphere while walking around the streets of Malaga while on the hunt for dinner for 30 minutes rejuvenated my travel spirit.
Sadly, many of the restaurants with rave reviews were booked solid for the night 🙁 so I simply walked into the first semi empty restaurant.
With a long drive to Seville (aka Sevilla) planned for the next morning, I decided to call it a night and put Malaga on my list of places I need to re-visit in the future. From what I have been told, it will be worth it.
