Types of Visa
- Single entry visa: allows you to enter Central African Republic one time. Once you have used it for an entry and exit, you cannot use it again
- Multiple entry visa: allows you to enter Central African Republic more than once. It is valid for up to 180 days.
Others are;
- Transit visa: the transit visa is usually valid for three(3) days or less for transferring from Central African Republic to the next destination
- Tourist visa: This visa is issued for leisure travel like visiting friends and family and no business
- Business visa: to perform any business activity in Central African Republic, a business visa is required

Visa Requirements
General requirements
- Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay, with at least one blank passport page available for visa stamp(s). Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for visa stamps
- Two recent 2 x 2 passport type photographs in color, front view and with a plain/white background
- Letter from employer or sponsoring company in the US, on company letterhead, introducing the applicant, indicating the applicant’s employment status/position held in the company, and clearly stating the purpose of visit the Central African Republic. The business letter must also indicate who will be financially responsible for the applicant and must provide detailed contact information in the Central African Republic.
- A letter of invitation from the host organization or sponsor in the Central African Republic explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel to Central African Republic. In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and host’s name and contact information.
Additional requirements for Tourist visa
- Fully completed tourist visa form
- Passport size photographs
- Valid national passport and a copy
- Latest bank statement
- Proof of travel insurance
- Reference letter from employer or educational institution
- Proof of accomodation
- Proof of ticket reservation
Additional requirements for Business visa
- Fully completed business visa form
- Business references (Letter from your company in Nigeria, invite from company or organization in CAR)
