The Presidential Task Force (PTF) on COVID-19 in an attempt to reduce further spread of Covid19 during the Christmas
holiday, the PTF has suggested that travellers refrain from traveling as measures of controlling the spread of COVID-19 during the of holiday.
At the briefing of the PTF, the coordinator of the PTF, Dr Sani Aliyu
mentioned that the federal government is discouraging Nigerians overseas to
cease all travel plans for this season.
He additional acknowledged that although every citizen has a right to travel,
the travel recommendation has turned out to be essential since the world wide spread of COVID-19.
He additionally mentioned that there might be risks of been commonplace in any a part of the world after the Christmas celebration and in an effort to avoid these issues, all non-essential travels needs to be suspended until further notice.
The coordinator noted that every one intending to travel into the country
should have a legitimate COVID-19 test result, and pay for the second test in Nigeria, isolate for seven days and take a test on the seventh day before becoming social with the rest of the community.
