Types of  Greece Visa

  • Short Term Visa; this entails tourist, visiting, conference, event, cultural, transit and medical visa.
  • Long Term Visa; this entails student, employment, family reunion, retirement and permanent relocation visa.

Visa Requirements

If employed:

  • Employment contract
  • Current bank statement of the latest 6 months
  • Leave approval letter from employer
  • Income Tax Return (ITR) form or Certificate of Income Tax deducted at the source of salary

If self-employed:

  • A copy of your business license
  • Company bank statement of the latest 6 months
  • Income Tax Return (ITR

If a student:

  • Proof of enrollment
  • No-objection certificate from school or university

If retired:

  • Pension statement of the latest 6 months
  • Passport copies

Greece Visa for Business Purposes:

  • Invitation letter from the Greek company you will be visiting and their detailed address accompanied with the dates of your visit
  • A certificate from your employer stating/allowing your business travel
  • If there were previous trade relations between the two companies, proof of such events must be provided
  • Business bank statement of the latest 6 months
  • Memorandum and Article of Association in original certified copy (registered with joint stock companies) Trade License (first issued and present renewal), Proprietorship/Partnership documents
  • Regarding the applicant’s expenses during stay in the Schengen zone, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation

Greece Visa for Medical Purposes:

  • A local medical report
  • A medical attestation from the hospital or doctor in Greece, confirming the date of your appointment as well as your medical situation
  • Payment receipt of medical fees

Greece Visa for Cultural, Sports, Film Crew or Religious Purposes:

  • Invitation letter from the above-mentioned authorities with details upon the nature of events or activities – purpose of visit , expense coverage
  • Names of the applicants (crew members)
  • Duration of stay
  • Travel itinerary

Greece visa process for nigerians

Visa collection

The visa process can take up to 3 months (90) days.

When your visa is approved and ready, you’ll be notified via SMS or email and you can either pick it up, have it couriered to your home/office, or have it picked up at the embassy by your appointed representative.

To collect your visa, have;

  • Your original receipt of payment
  • Proof of identity

If your visa is being couriered to your door, make sure to have the same documents at hand.

If your appointed representative is picking your visa up, please make sure that they have:

Your original proof of identity

A signed letter stating that this person is your representative

*Note: The signed application form must be accompanied the rest of the above-mentioned mandatory documents and handed personally at the appropriate embassy/consulate or its representative.

Also, documents provided should be in photocopies but originals must be submitted during the interview.

Current COVID-19 Travel Restriction for Greece

  • Tourists must complete the Passenger Locator Form (PLF) by 23:59 (11.59 PM) the day before they arrive in Greece.
  • All travelers must have an approved form of verification of their health status with them before to departure.
  • A laboratory’s negative PCR molecular test result; the test can be taken up to 72 hours before entrance.
  • A immunization certificate from a reputable source.
  • A public authority or a qualified laboratory must issue a certificate of recovery from SARS-CoV-2 virus infection.
  • Travelers traveling in Greece are subjected to the following tests upon arrival: sampling RAPID antigen tests at the entrance gates for selected persons taken from a targeted sampling system based on the “EVA” system.

– A certificate of a positive PCR molecular test result, confirming that the holder recovered from the SARS-CoV-2 virus infection, performed at least 2 months before arrival, and no later than 9 months before arrival.
