After 2 days of disappointments in Tokyo, I was ready to start afresh and AnimeJapan simply gave me the life I needed to escape into.
It was great to see the previews of new Animes coming out this year, but the people that came from around the world did not disappoint.
Grab some popcorn and some liquid, because this may take some time…enjoy!

After my AnimeJapan gallivants, I met up with a few new friends at Starbucks and got to witness what has to be the most insane pedestrian crossing ever; the famous Shibuya crossing.
Watching that many people find their way at the stop light made me feel so small in this world. I spent about 30 minutes gazing at the crowd and it seemed endless. Every 5 or so minutes, the crowd that poured out from the train station seemed like millions, and my sit spot seemed like the prime viewing area because many other travelers like me got lost people watching.
I did not bother with going back to Shibuya after that.
After the day of galivants, food was foremost on my mind and so we found ourselves in Shinjuku trying to find another new friend that promised us a different food experience in Japan. 1hr 30mins later, we realized how large Shinjuku train station was and when we finally got down to scarfing down dinner, I was too hungry to bother taking pictures. I only remembered when the last plate was about to get devoured. Heh.

Dinner at Torizoku was amazing, and it’s the best way to enjoy the gastropub experience in Tokyo without going broke. Instead of paying for drinks at 800yen and above, the prices were set at about 230 yen. A steal in my opinion. The wait time to get a table here can be over 1 hr, but it is definitely worth it. Thanks for the tip Nori 😀
